Biography

Founded during a creative chapter when the Melbourne-based founder spent a Summer in Turkey, M&E developed its first collection along the UNESCO-listed coastlines of the European summer, where long days, coastal travel, and Mediterranean life formed the backdrop to the brand’s earliest designs.

The 2026 collection explores a refined balance of form, ease, and presence. Sculptural silhouettes are paired with fluid movement and relaxed structure, creating pieces that feel both elevated and effortless. Designed with versatility in mind, the collection moves easily between environments — from warm coastal settings to contemporary urban life — while maintaining a quiet sense of confidence and presence.

Before fashion, the founder spent time on stage developing and performing original works, touring nationally and internationally for art festivals and invited events. It was there that a deep appreciation for costume, structure, and movement began to inform the foundations of the brand’s design language.

Raised in a highly artistic family — her brother a nationally recognised public sculptor with prominent CBD installations across Australia, her father working in the import and export of exotic goods and decorative objects, and her mother a textiles master’s graduate — creativity was a constant, and an understanding of scale, materiality, and narrative was embedded early.
